Terms and Conditions

Welcome to Wine Rack Deals! By using our website or buying from us, you’re agreeing to these terms. Please read them carefully.
Important Note: Our policies are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which provides automatic consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.

 General Stuff

  • Accepting Terms: Using our site means you agree to these terms and our other policies. If you don’t agree, please don’t use our service.
  • Terms Can Change: We may update these terms anytime; changes will be on this page. Your continued use means you accept them.
  • Eligibility: You must be at least 18 (or legal age in your state/territory) to use our site.
  • No Illegal Use: Please don’t use our site or products unlawfully or destructively.
  • We Can Refuse Service: We can refuse to sell products or services to anyone at our discretion.
  • Your Responsibilities: It’s your job to install products safely. We’re not responsible for harm from improper installation.
  • Information: While we strive for accuracy, information on our site is for general guidance only. Prices and products can change without notice.
  • Order Acceptance: We can refuse or limit orders at our discretion. If we change your order, we’ll try to contact you. Please provide accurate and current contact/delivery details.
  • Ownership: Goods aren’t fully yours until paid in full. Overdue payments incur a 25% debt recovery fee plus costs.

Shipping & Delivery

  • Australia Only: We ship only within Australia.
  • Dispatch: Orders typically leave our Melbourne warehouse in 3-7 business days.
  • Delivery Locations: We deliver to ground-floor doorsteps only. Remote areas may require depot pickup at your cost. No PO Boxes or upstairs delivery.
  • Authority to Leave (ATL): All our deliveries are ATL. This means your parcel will be left in a safe place if you’re not home. Wine Rack Deals isn’t responsible for loss or damage after delivery.
  • Assistance for Large Items: For large items, the driver will need your help to unload. Please don’t agree to these terms if you can’t assist, as it leads to re-delivery fees.
  • Inspect Deliveries: Please inspect items immediately upon delivery. If you notice damage, take photos/video, refuse delivery (if severe), and clearly mark “DAMAGED” on the carrier’s paperwork. Report all damages to us within 24 hours (see Section 3.3).
  • Re-deliveries: Failed deliveries due to unassisted unloading or access issues may incur re-delivery fees.

 Returns, Refunds & Warranties

  • Important Note: Our policies are in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), which provides automatic consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.
  • Please Inspect Immediately: Check items as soon as they arrive, especially flat-packs, before assembly.
 Our Warranty & Consumer Guarantees

  • 6-Month Warranty: We offer a 6-month manufacturer’s warranty for defects. This is in addition to your ACL rights, which guarantee “acceptable quality” and “durability” for a reasonable period.
  • What’s Generally NOT Covered: Damage from misuse, improper assembly, normal wear and tear, or if not reported within 24 hours. Showroom/clearance items have limited warranties. Integrated lights are subject to ACL, but their expected durability may differ.
  • Proof Needed: Please provide proof of purchase for claims.
  • Remedy Options: For faults, we’ll offer a repair, replacement, or refund in line with the ACL.

Returns & Refunds Policy

  • No “Change of Mind” Returns: We generally don’t offer refunds for “change of mind”.
  • Custom Orders: No cancellations, returns, or refunds for “change of mind” on custom orders. Your ACL rights for major faults are still protected.
  • Discretionary “Change of Mind” Cancellations (Fees Apply): If we agree to a “change of mind” cancellation, an administration/cancellation fee (30-50%) may apply. Items must be unused, unopened, and in original packaging, and you cover all shipping costs.
  • Assembled Items: Cannot be returned for “change of mind” once assembly has started.
  • Refund Processing: Refunds are issued after we receive and inspect returned goods.

Reporting Issues (Damaged, Faulty, or Incorrect Items)

  • Time Limit: You MUST report damages/faults in writing within 24 hours of receiving goods.
  • What to Include: Email info@winerackdeals.com.au with your order details, problem description, and photos of the item and its packaging. Verbal reports aren’t accepted.
  • Keep Packaging: Please keep all original packaging; it’s essential for safe returns, though not having it doesn’t negate ACL rights for faulty items.
  • Collection of Damaged Items: For minor issues, we might offer a replacement and ask you to dispose of the original. For major ACL faults, Wine Rack Deals is responsible for arranging collection if the item is difficult to return. Items must be securely re-boxed for collection.
  • Warehouse Pickups: Transit damage after pickup is your responsibility. Faulty collected items must be returned to the warehouse at your expense.

Other Important Info

  • Third-Party Links: We’re not responsible for external websites linked from our site.
  • Your Comments: We may use feedback you provide. Please ensure your comments are appropriate and don’t contain harmful content.
  • Privacy: Your personal information is protected by our Privacy Policy.
  • Errors on Site: We can correct errors (e.g., pricing, descriptions) and cancel orders if information is inaccurate.
  • Prohibited Uses: Don’t use our site for unlawful acts, to harass others, or interfere with security. We can terminate service for violations.
  • Limited Liability: We don’t guarantee our service is error-free. Your use is at your own risk. Our liability is limited to the maximum extent allowed by law.
  • Governing Law: These terms are governed by the laws of Victoria, Australia.
